Pretty average

A recent magazine article gave the following statistics:

$5,321 - Average amount the typical household spent on groceries and eating out in 2001

$1,743 - Average amount spent on clothes and other grooming products


Thanks to the wonders of Quicken, I was able to get our averages:

$4,381 on groceries and eating out

$1,537 on clothing and grooming



It's comforting to know I am so normal. Humdrum. Boring.
