Can't we just go back to our pseudo - quasi - happy existence?

I love shopping

Still working at Dillards. I must say, I enjoy getting dressed in nice clothes, fixing my hair, wearing makeup. I have not done much of that in the past year. I did not see the point.

This week at Dillard's is Employee Appreciation Week. In addition to the regular 25% discount, we get an another 20% off. Only problem is you have to wait 30 days to get your 25% discount....and I won't get mine until Nov 26. Bummer. BUT! My friend Dan is going to take me shopping today so I can use his discount. There are 2 things I know I am going to get - both birthday presents for my mom. They have these really nice purses on clearance at 75% off. $70 purses. With all the discounts, it will come to about $10! They are kind of summer purses, but my mother doesn't worry about stuff like that. Also I found a bright yellow Tommy Hilfiger shirt - she loves yellow - that will come to about $10 as well. I might try to pick up a few more Christmas gifts. And some stuff for me of course! Initial stuff seems to be very popular. They have all sorts of sweaters and blouses with initials on them. Mine is "L" , so I will look like Laverne. But I still want it. Or perhaps just an initial necklace. Oh I had forgotten how much I LOVE SHOPPING. And how much I LOVE CLOTHES! And discounts!

But just because I have something to make me happy, doesn't mean I am happy. I am still depressed about alot of things. Not being able to travel is of course at the top of the list. We are going to New York sometime in the next month come Hell or High Water. Germany in January - I don't know. If we have to evict the people renting our house in Georgia then there is no way we can afford it. Also, I don't know if Dillards will give me the time off. And I really don't want to quit that job. I kinda like it. But who knows...more than likely we will end up having to evict those people and it will be a HUGE nightmare.
